The game was close at the half with the Toledo trailing by only three points, but the Bobcats poured it on in the second half. They scored on four of their five possessions in the second-half while adding a touchdown each time they touched the ball. Their final drive was the only time that they didn’t score as they were able to just run out the clock.

Toledo quarterback Logan Woodside  was 24-35 on his passes for 263 yards and a touchdown. Diontae Johnson had 9 catches for 144 yards including a 34-yard touchdown reception. The main issue for the Rockets was converting on third down. They were only 3-13 on conversions and Ohio took advantage of every Toledo punt in the second half.

Toledo still leads the MAC West, but their race is a little tighter. At 5-1 now in conference play, they are neck-and-neck with Northern Illinois. The Rockets hold the tie-breaker though. They’ll head to Bowling Green next week. With last night’s game, we could have witnessed a preview of this year’s MAC Championship game.
